The benefit of allowing $0 bids would let teams pick up players after their FAAB has been used. Many leagues that use a FAAB have the availability of $0 bids. I would favor a restriction that $0 bids can only be used to replace injured players.
Exhausting you FAAB puts you at a disadvantage since basically the player you want can be acquired by anyone in the league with FAAB money left before you.

I don't mind the exception of $0 bids for injured players, but I would rather see an owner keep $5 or so for unexpected injuries or whatever.

Damn, I feel like butcher at vegan convention.
Mark my words, this will cause a problem at some point in the season for someone. I still feel an injury exception should be made.

many, many leagues do the FAAB with NO $0 bids, and I have never seen a problem arise. If you aren't smart enough to leave yourself with some breathing room, its your own fault. Plain and simple.
